Author/Poet
Judy Davies is a commercial
and creative writer residing on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.
Her commercial
work specializes in the medical and legal fields, preparing medical
chronologies for use by attorneys and providing technical writing for
medical and legal professionals. On the technical
side, she functioned for several years in the business world writing and
editing articles for professionals including business reports, newspaper
columns and college presentations. With a B.A. in English (Otterbein
College) and a B.A. in Paralegal Studies (Univ. Southern Miss.) plus 35
years working in the medical field, she is able to meet your writing
needs.
Creative writing
and poetry fit well with her other artistic pursuit, that of music.
Composing poetry and short prose on the background of a career as a
professional musician, Judy finds that each inspires the other. Some of
her poetry has been set to music as art songs by her composer husband,
Ken Davies.
Judy and Ken offer a a combination program of poetry with music that
blends poetry writing with music composition. They are available for
school presentations. Judy has published prose and poetry and won several awards, including the Mississippi Poetry Society - South Branch Poet of the Year and Mississippi Senior Poet Laureate. |
