MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE

Searching for a Spiritual Path in a Material World

by Chariss K Walker

Make a Joyful Noise: Searching for a Spiritual Path in a Material World is written to bridge the gap between all religions and modern day metaphysicians, what some would mistakenly call mysticism or new-age thought. Although new-age thought does differ from religion in semantics or language, there is nothing new about it. It has been with us since the beginning of time. When we dare to put prejudice, superstition, and terminology aside we may just discover that the truth of what we seek is tucked neatly within the pages of the bible and many other great spiritual works. It has been with us all along had we only known where to look.

It is no coincidence that you have found this book. You may have read the bible from cover to cover many times, but there are always new verses to notice each time you read it. There are always new tidbits tucked here and there that speak to an open and receptive heart. Life, love, and living are about being open and receptive.

For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words

await another voice. And to make an end is to make a new beginning.

                                                                                          T. S. Elliot (1888-1965)

Reviews

"Once is not enough. Read this one twice! I got the information the first time, but I felt it the second time. Coming from the most critical of enlightenment literature, Make a Joyful Noiseis so simple and easy to understand its simplicity is what sets it apart, making this book a shark in the fishpond syndrome." ~Mike Simmons, a reader

Positive Ideas for a Successful Spiritual Life, July 14, 2008

Rebecca Johnson "SeasonedwithLove.com"

"Make a Joyful Noise" is an intriguing book that will be appreciated by seekers looking for ways to live a more spiritual life.

The last third of the book is even more interesting with topics as diverse as dream interpretation and auras. This section of the book also explores prayer, meditation, praise, thanksgiving, visualizations, miracles and angels.

What I liked most about this book is the way it is written. While reading it is as if you are having a conversation with a trusted friend or advisor. In each chapter you may also discover something about yourself. What are your motivations when you make a request in prayer? I had never thought about the motivation behind the request but now that I understand how to pray more effectively I will definitely use the new information to see my prayers answered in new ways. There is also a great discussion about how your spoken words and thoughts can powerfully affect your life for the better. Your thoughts literally become your reality. This book will not only put you on a more spiritual path, it will help you realize your dreams.

"Make a Joyful Noise" is also filled with inspirational quotes and affirmations. The affirmations are especially helpful to encourage positive results in your life. I have rarely enjoyed a book so much, this book is truly a comfort to the soul ...
