General Meeting GCWA Author Katrina Estes-Hill Katrina Estes-Hill is an artist, writer, and storyteller who performs "Fatdaddy's Watermelon and Other Tales from the Hollow" at events and shows her art at various venues. She will soon release her first storytelling CD. Her published children's stories "Mary Lou's Biscuit Bar" and "An Afternoon with Papaw", appear in The Cherubic Children's Classic Storybook and Hopscotch Magazine for Girls. |

General Meeting, GCWA Author, Al Molnar, Jr. Alexander Molnar is the author of five best selling action adventure novels. His first, "Mission: Hong Kong 1944-1945" was followed by "Mission: Alpine Redoubt", then came "The Land Beyond Time, An Adventure in the Amazon"; "Sweet Revenge, An Adventure in East Africa", and his latest, "Blood Cheaper than Oil." Al is also a contributing author to "World War II in Europe: An Encyclopedia". |

Reception to Honor Mimi Heitzmann, The Writer, A tribute organized by GCWA member L.L. Lee GCWA is honoring Mimi Heitzmann. Friends and family members are invited to attend the open house reception and to participate in the tribute and presentation of awards to the winners of the Mimi Heitzmann Writers’ Contest. Photos of Mimi and by Mimi, as well as personal tributes to her are welcomed. The event will be part of the Arts Alive Studio Tour. Awards and Cash Prizes presented to the Contest winners! L.L. Lee will be signing her books at 1:00 pm The premiere coast screenings of the movie Mississippi Son will be held in Bay St. Louis in conjunction with our annual ArtsAlive! Studio Tour of Hancock County, This movie features GCWA President Philip Levin discussing how Katrina affected the arts on the coast. We have scheduled a matinee screening for 1:30 on Saturday at the Bay St. Louis branch of the Hancock County Library, located at 312 Highway 90. A reception for filmmakers Don and Leslie Wilson will follow. An outdoor evening screening is scheduled for 6:30, in the public lot adjacent to the Firedog, next to the intersection of Main Street and Beach Blvd in Old Town Bay St. Louis. Bring your own lawn chair, and dress for a cool evening. In case of rain, the evening screening will again be held in the library. |

As an editor she is accepting a limited amount of appointment times for members of GCWA to have 10 pages of their manuscript reviewed and evaluated for market feasibility.
